About the device
What does Albelys actually do?
It produces warm-spectrum light at 660 nm (red) and 850 nm (near-infrared). The cosmetic-LED literature describes effects on collagen-related markers and the appearance of skin in clinical photographs, observed gradually over weeks of consistent use. We do not claim it treats, cures, or heals.
Is it a medical device?
No. Albelys is a cosmetic skincare accessory. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Albelys is CE marked and we hold third-party test reports for it, like any cosmetic device. Medical light therapy is a different category: devices assessed under the EU Medical Device Regulation and registered with Swissmedic, used by dermatologists in clinical settings.
Why do you talk mostly about two wavelengths?
The mask has four modes — green 525 nm, amber 590 nm, red 660 nm, and red plus near-infrared 850 nm. We talk most about 660 and 850 because those two are the most consistently studied in the cosmetic-LED literature, and they are the ones doing the deeper work. Masks advertising eight or ten colours are making a marketing point; more colours dilute the power per LED without adding evidence.
What about blue light for acne?
We deliberately left blue light out of Albelys. The blue-light category is closer to medical territory and the evidence is more cautious; we keep our claim discipline cosmetic and focus on warm wavelengths.
Using your Albelys
How often should I use it?
Three to five evenings a week, ten minutes per session. Effects in the literature appear gradually after several weeks of consistent use. Less is fine; more is not necessarily better.
When in my routine?
After cleansing, before serum. The light passes most easily through clean, dry skin.
Can I use it with my serums and creams?
Yes. Apply skincare after the session, not before. Heavier oils may dim the light and reduce comfort.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Generally yes. If you have very reactive skin, start at three sessions a week and pay attention to how you feel afterwards. Stop if anything feels off.
What about my eyes?
The eye openings are left clear, so you can keep your eyes open — most people read or look at their phone while the mask runs. Just don't stare directly into the lit panel. No separate goggles are included, and none are needed: the light is non-ionising and contains no UV. If you have an eye condition, or take medication that makes you sensitive to light, ask your doctor first.
Safety and contraindications
Pregnancy?
We recommend pausing use during pregnancy and consulting a healthcare professional.
Photosensitive medication?
Some medications make skin more reactive to light. Pause use and ask your doctor.
History of skin cancer or melanoma?
Pause use and consult a dermatologist before starting.
Epilepsy?
Pause use; pulsed lights can be a trigger for some people. Ask your doctor.
Shipping and returns
Where do you ship?
Switzerland only, for now. We hold the stock ourselves near Biel and post it domestically, which is what makes next-day delivery possible. Opening other countries would mean either slow cross-border shipping or a warehouse we do not yet have.
How long does delivery take?
Three to five working days, and delivery is free — it is included in the price, with no minimum order. Every order is packed by hand in Switzerland and sent with Swiss Post; we hold the stock ourselves rather than forwarding your order to a factory abroad.
Can I return it?
Yes — an unopened device with its hygiene seal intact can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. Email us with your order number and we confirm the return address; you pay return postage. Once the seal is broken we cannot resell a mask that is worn on the face, so opened devices cannot be returned for change of mind. A faulty device is always replaced at our cost.
What if my device is faulty?
Email us within 14 days with a short video showing the fault. We arrange a replacement at our cost. Beyond 14 days, the 24-month warranty applies for manufacturing defects.
Do you charge customs and VAT?
The price you see is the price you pay, Swiss VAT included. Because your order ships domestically from our own stock in Switzerland, it never crosses a border on its way to you — there is no customs clearance and no import bill at the door.
Payment and account
Which payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, and TWINT for Swiss customers. We never store your card details.
Can I order without an account?
Yes. Guest checkout is supported.
