On visits from Switzerland, the Meta pixel sets two advertising cookies. There are no analytics cookies. There is no cookie banner: Swiss law asks us to tell you and to let you refuse, and you can switch the pixel off with one click in the privacy policy (section 5).
What we store, and where
We use your browser's local storage (not cookies) for three things:
• your shopping bag, so it survives a refresh;
• your chosen currency and language;
• your choice on the Meta pixel switch, if you used it.
All of it stays on your own device, is readable only by this website, and is never sent to us or to anyone else.
Cookies set by the Meta pixel
On visits from Switzerland, the Meta pixel sets _fbp (a random identifier) and, if you arrive from a Meta ad, _fbc (the click identifier). Both last 90 days. They let Meta tell whether a visit or an order came from one of our ads. The details, and the switch to turn it off, are in section 5 of the privacy policy.
Clearing it
Clearing your browser's site data for albelys.ch removes all of it: your bag empties and the Meta cookies are deleted. If you had switched the pixel off, that choice is forgotten too, so simply switch it off again.
Cookies set by payment
When you go to pay, Stripe may set cookies on its own checkout pages for fraud prevention and to keep the payment session working. Those are strictly necessary for the payment to happen and are governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
What we deliberately do not use
No Google Analytics or comparable analytics. No TikTok or Google advertising pixels. No third-party cookies apart from the two Meta cookies above. No fingerprinting.
Our fonts are self-hosted, so no request is made to Google when you load a page.
If this changes
If we ever add another tool, we update this page and the privacy policy first.
